June Garden is a VR mobile app for Google Cardboard. Developed as an explorative environment it focuses on the theme of telepresence and it expresses my reflections on the potentiality of the non-physical dimension to affect human experiences via technological tools.
Taking inspiration from different digital artists and languages I build a virtual environment and designed the experience the users could have in it. The experience is not only visual and auditory but also olfactory: I designed an add-on type of olfactory display that could possibly be as cheap and accessible as the Google Cardboard itself so that they could work together for young developers like me or even kids and the general public. The final prototype is light and portable, it follows the user movements and hosts different scent cartridges.
